What time to list on your invitations?

If your family or guests are generally those that always arrive late to functions, you’ve probably thought about listing your event start time earlier on invitations to make sure everyone is there by the time you’re ready to walk down the aisle. Resist the temptation! Guests typically begin arriving half an hour before your listed time frame so if your ceremony is at 5:00pm but you list 4:30pm, your guests will start arriving at 4:00pm when finishing touches are being done on decor or set up or you’re finishing up a few pre-ceremony photos. We want your guests to walk in to a complete set up and get the best first impression rather than seeing how the sausage is made! This also saves your guests from milling around for an hour waiting for the festivities to officially begin.
You can encourage your guests to arrive early by tempting them with a pre-ceremony cocktail hour, signature drink or welcome champagne! Extending your bar service can mean a small additional cost but it can give you peace of mind that your guests will arrive in time (hopefully!) and gives them a preview of the festivities to come following the ceremony.
Let us coordinate this for you and help you pick out the perfect pre-ceremony drink with the Love Punch package!
